TRINIDAD —  The City of Trinidad, CO is hosting its first outdoor light festival—In Real Life, Trinidad—during the OSO Cold Winterfest, which will take place Feb. 2 through 4 in  Trinidad, Cuchara, Walsenburg, and La Veta.
In Real Life, Trinidad is an outdoor digital art exhibition with a list of eighteen artworks from around the world. The exhibition will be free to visitors and on view during the evenings of February 2nd through February 4th, 6 – 9 pm.

Brett Phares, curator of In Real Light, Trinidad worked with the City of Trinidad to arrive at the final selection of international artists whose original works celebrate digital art in its many possibilities. Each night will utilize the latest technologies to project onto iconic city buildings.

Outdoor projection art or digital art celebrates the possibilities found at the convergence of art and architecture. Artworks include illustration, experimental film, motion graphics, and large-scale digital video projection with sound.

“Trinidad’s architecture has been described as gem-like and makes it easy to locate iconic aspects of the town and bring it to light. This year, we are confining the area to a one-block radius around Space to Create, a location that generates ideal conditions for an outdoor digital art festival. Bring your family and friends out. It’s going to be one unique walk on Main,” says Phares.
Admission is free on all nights. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Food trucks, warming tents and fun activities will be located at Space to Create! It’s winter, and the city would like to remind all attendees to dress warmly.
