TRINIDAD —  The City of Trinidad will host a community visioning and action planning workshop on December 5, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Trinidad Space to Create, as part of the Colorado Tourism Office’s Destination Blueprint program.

The purpose of this community visioning and action planning workshop is to gather input that will inform future decisions about the local tourism industry and help foster a more resilient economy. Complimentary coffee, a light breakfast, and lunch will be provided.

The workshop is supported by the Colorado Tourism Office through the Destination Blueprint Program. As a participant in the program, the City of Trinidad will receive a destination assessment, a full-day workshop, and 100 hours of free consulting to advance priority tourism projects.

If you own or operate a business or organization that directly contributes to the tourism industry in Trinidad, we also invite you take this short survey to provide your input on barriers, priorities, and opportunities. Survey results, among other assessment findings, will be presented at the workshop.

“We are thrilled to be part of the Destination Blueprint Program to advance sustainable tourism efforts in Trinidad,” says Marty Hackett, Tourism and Community Relations Manager for the city of Trinidad. “The workshop on December 5 will be an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in contributing ideas to help the city advance tourism projects that contribute to the well-being of our community. We invite owners and operators from tourism (and tourism-related) organizations and businesses to join us and engage in action planning.”

The City of Trinidad will also receive a creative production shoot valued at $20,000 from the Colorado Tourism Office. The goal of this shoot will be to strengthen the visual assets used to market and manage Trinidad as a tourism destination.

RSVP to the workshop by November 30, 2023 to confirm your participation.
