Traffic stops nets drugs

WALSENBURG–Friday, April 1 was a fool’s day for Noah Bodie, 30, of Walsenburg who foolishly broke traffic laws while driving through town carrying drugs. After stopping Bodie for speeding, Officer Buddy Townes detected the odor of marijuana in Bodie’s car. He called in the services of Officer John Salazar and Walsenburg K-9 Atos who quickly alerted on the trunk of the vehicle. Inside the trunk, 3.69 ounces of psilocybin (schedule II hallucinogen), “$1,005 amount of cash and drug paraphernalia were recovered.” Bodie, a previously convicted offender, is being held on a $250,000 cash only bond in the Huerfano County Jail.
