SPRINGER — Bryan Romero and Hannah Burton were crowned Springer Basketball Homecoming King and Queen Winners for 2018. The pair of seniors was selected Friday night after Springer’s homecoming games against the Cimarron Rams.
The entire week of February 12-16 was devoted to homecoming activities. The kids wore crazy costumes for Spirit Week including dressing up for Western Wednesday and wearing Red and Black on Thursday; everyone was bedecked in Red Devil attire for the pep rally that morning.
Saturday night was the homecoming dance, and a pleasant end to a victorious week for Springer whose varsity boys and girls’ teams both prevailed in their homecoming games against Cimarron on Friday (boys 68-48; girls 51-47), and again in their games against Des Moines on Saturday night (boys 80-21; girls 42-40).
