Raton man found dead; Police investigate as homicide

RATON, NM —A Raton man identified as 65 year old Henri Trueba was found dead in his residence at 764 Nevada Avenue around noon Tuesday, Oct. 13, by police. The incident is being investigated as a homicide by both the local authorities and the New Mexico State Police. When officers and EMS arrived they found Trueba on a couch, unresponsive and with a noticeable head wound. Raton EMS was unable to resuscitate Trueba, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Raton police obtained a search warrant and began processing the residence with the assistance of the state police. Police are asking anyone with information related to the case to contact them immediately.
