TRINIDAD — Jennifer Mravich and Cara Vigil of Power Credit Union were guest speakers at the Trinidad Las Animas Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon in TSJC’s Pioneer Room on Wednesday, June 15.
The Power Credit Union, which first started out in 1938 as the Steel Worker’s Credit Union, opened their Trinidad branch in 2013 at 220 Pine Street. Jennifer Mravich of the Pueblo branch pointed out the many services they offer that banks don’t. Their youth checking and savings accounts for newborns to 17 years of age have special incentives to educate and encourage savings. The Rewards Punch Card program for kids can be redeemed for gift cards or cash deposits, and their Christmas Club savings account and Pet Insurance program give students the opportunity to experience real-world economics.
Cara Vigil, the Trinidad branch manager, said, “We are happy to sponsor many local events and be involved in the community.” She invites you to visit with her and discuss their “Back on Track” auto loan, designed for people with low credit scores, and their “Summer Days Special” personal loan.
