Katie L. Sager, 70, of Aguilar, Colo., died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado.
Mrs. Sager was born on September 1, 1941 in West Virginia to Joseph and Hattie Halstead Clark.
Katie’s love for animals got her very involved, along with her granddaughter, in 4-H. For a couple of years she made the shirts for the 4-H queens. She also enjoyed ceramics and traveling.
Katie is survived by her husband of 48-years, Leo Sager; daughter, Kristie (Bill) Smith; granddaughter, Sammi Smith, all of Aguilar; brother, Ronnie (Debbie) Clark of Alamosa; and her nephews and nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Clark.
A memorial service is scheduled for 4 pm Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Church of Christ, 400 Walsen Ave., Walsenburg, Colo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katie’s name to the Colorado 4-H Extension Office, c/o Columbine 4-H Club, 928 Russell Ave., Walsenburg, CO 81089.
