Geno Sarti, 87, beloved father, grandfather, uncle & friend, went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2009. He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise, son Dennis, daughter, Bobbi, and grandson, Stephen. He was born on December 27, 1921 in Rouse, CO. He grew up in and around Walsenburg, and served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. After completing his military duties, he came back to Walsenburg where he met and married Louise Appie on May of 1946. To this union they had 4 children, Dennis, Brenda, Donna and Barbara. The family moved to Denver where he began working for Adolph Coors Co. until he retired after 29 years. He then moved back to Walsenburg where he owned and operated Sarti’s Bar for 34 years. He served Coors for over 60 years. He is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Harris and husband Burt of Sidney, Nebraska, and Donna Sarti of Arvada, CO, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
