Ercilia M “Eursie” Roybal, 90, of Walsenburg died Saturday July 16, 2011.  She is survived by four children: Kenneth Larry (Grace) Roybal of Gypsum, CO; JoAnn Mares of Walsenburg; Joe Max (Marie) Roybal, of Pueblo; and Kathy (Frank) Bacca of Walsenburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Lisa (Ray) Tenbrook of Eagle; David Mares Jr. of Pueblo; Stephanie (Christopher) Sandoval of Walsenburg; Sean Paul (Angela) Mares of Walsenburg; and Jason Bacca of Walsenburg. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Tyler and Kayla Tenbrook, Briana Mares, Chrystalia Rose Mares, Faye Reign Mares, Scarlet Alexandria Mares, Gabriel Enoch Mares; and her two sisters, Irene Romero of Pueblo and Margaret Vigil of Walsenburg. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Librada Cordova; and her husband, Joe M. Roybal.
Mrs. Roybal worked at the Washington School as a dishwasher for 19 years, was well known in the community and was involved in many clubs and organizations. She was a member of the Latino Club, the Altar Society, Eagles and a long time volunteer Pink Lady at the Huerfano County Hospital. She was very active in the St. Mary Catholic Church, an avid Bronco fan, and loved to play bingo and sew. Mainly she loved her family.
Both her Rosary and her Funeral Mass Services are set at St. Mary Catholic Church on Friday July 22, 2011. The Rosary will be at 9am, the Funeral Mass at 10am. She will be buried in the North St. Mary Cemetery.
