James Edward Walk, age 59, 202 Indiana Avenue, Walsenburg, CO, passed on May 5, 2009. Cremation Pueblo West. Funeral service will be held in Phoenix, Arizona.
Jim was born in Scott City, Kansas on 6/12/49, to Doris Elaine and and Lloyd Irving Walk Jr. He was the middle of three brothers, Howard and Larry Walk. He graduated from East High in Phoenix, Arizona, and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS Saratoga until 1972. Jim was the father of three children, Brandy M. Bond, Thomas C. Holmes, and Jeremy J. Walk.
Jim is survived by his former wife of 14 years, Sally A. Simmons; his children; grandchildren, Audrianna M. Bond, America J. Walk, and Thomas C. Holmes, Jr.; and his mother, brothers, and countless cousins, aunts and uncles and in-laws. He was an avid fisherman, and loved to play his guitar, and had his own small business in Phoenix for 30 years. Near the end of his life he lived in Walsenburg, Colorado with his mother and eldest brother, until the end of his journey on Earth. He was a good and simple man, who will be sorely missed by many. We love you Caveman, until we meet again. Bon Voyage.
