CUSTER COUNTY– The Custer County Cougars ended the Panthers’ season this past Tuesday in the first round of the district playoffs, 42-40. The Panthers defeated Custer earlier in the season but could not complete the sweep which would have advanced them in the playoffs. The Panthers had a better record and were seeded higher than the Cougars, but the system favored Custer. Statistics for the game were not available as of press time
Over this past weekend, the Cats lost a pair of games, falling to Swink 63-21 and Cotopaxi.
