HOEHNE- The John Mall track team traveled to Hoehne on Tuesday to make up a meet which was originally scheduled for Sat. March 20. It was their first meet of the season and the team competed well, according to Coach Jacque Corsentino. The results for both girls and boys are as follows.
Natalie Neece ran to victory for the Lady Panthers and took home first place medals in the 100 and 400 meter dashes and finished second in the 200 meter dash. Alexandra Tenorio took second in the triple jump and first in the long jump. Katie Monahan took second in both the long jump and high jump. Angelica Souza and Krista Cordova tied for third in the shot put. Krista Cordova also claimed second in the discus. The 400-meter relay team of Elyssa Navarro, Katie Monahan, Natalie Neece, Alexandra Tenorio took fourth place and in the 800-meter relay, Elyssa Navarro, Lindsay Bustos, Miranda Trujillo, Adaina Martinez took sixth
The boys’ team was equally impressive as Jacob Wiggins took fourth in the long jump, third in the triple jump, fourth in the high jump and sixth in the 200-meter dash. Shawn Dieckman took fourth in the 1600-meter and fifth in the 800.
