LAMAR- The Horse Training and Management Department of the Lamar Community College has awarded Jacob Myers, 2009 graduate of John Mall High School, a $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is for the 2009-2010 school year. Jacob, the son of Tim and Lynn Myers of Walsenburg, will be majoring in horse training and management at Lamar and has been involved in 4H and other horsemanship programs for several years. This scholarship is renewable and as long as Myers maintains the grade point average required, he will remain eligible.
