DENVER — Here is a brief schedule for the 2018 State wrestling tournament to be held at the Pepsi Center in Downtown Denver. Gates open one half hour before each session. (One hour during finals). Please allow extra time to go through security. Normal Pepsi Center rules apply as to what can and cannot be taken inside the arena. Check their website for rules. The house will be cleared between sessions. Note: 2A and 3A sessions are first in the schedule. 4A and 54 sessions begin immediately after 2A-3A matches are completed.
Thursday, February 15
2A-3A – Preliminaries 3-6:15 pm. (10 mats) **CLEAR HOUSE**
Friday, February 16
2A-3A – Championship Quarterfinals 9:30 am. (10 mats)
First Round Consolation immediately following previous round. (10 mats)
Following this round 4A and 5A matches begin then **CLEAR HOUSE**
2A-3A – Second round consolation. 5:30-6:45 pm. (10mats)
ALL CLASSES – Semifinals. 7:15 pm (1 mat each class) **
**4A and 5A wrestlers will compete in their 2nd round consolation matches at the same time as the semifinals. 4A on mat 1 and 5A on mat 10.
Saturday, February 17
2A-3A – Third round consolation 10 am. (10 mats)
Semifinal Consolation immediately following as mats become available
4A-5A – immediately following. House will not be cleared.
2A-3A – 5th place 2 pm (10 mats)
2A-3A – 3rd place immediately following as mats become available 4A-35 – 5th place 2:30 pm (10 mats)
2A-3A – 3rd place immediately following as mats become available. **CLEAR HOUSE**
Doors open at 5:30 for last rounds
Parade of Champions begins at 6:30 pm. The finals begin right after. There will be 4 mats for the finals. Each weight class per weight will wrestle per mat. There will be a break in action in between matches so the champions can be awarded. Please note that all action is fast and furious and matches proceed quickly.
