Huerfano businesses meet to discuss tactics

LATHROP- Members of Huerfano County’s business community met last Thursday at the golf course to discuss “Marketing in Difficult Times”, the third in a series of business roundtables for the county.  It was sponsored by the Huerfano and La Veta Chambers of Commerce, the County Commissioners, and the Huerfano Tourism Board. Over 30 people showed up to be informed, to network, and for a free dinner.

There were three featured speakers to the program: Jason Goss of Internet Honey, who talked about marketing on the internet, Michael Driver from the Governor’s Office of International Trade, and Debra Goodman from the Alamosa Welcome Center.

All three stressed working and marketing together for more visibility, and to follow the four P’s of marketing- Product, Place, Price and Promotion.
