Home for Christmas

by Ashley Schrauth and Ruth Orr

Lidia got her Christmas wish!  She was adopted by a living family and got to meet Santa. She is a puppy that was rescued in Walsenburg along with her 6 siblings by our local rescue, From Forgotten To Forever. Her siblings are with the rescue and still looking for homes. Lidia’s parents are also available for adoption through the Walsenburg Shelter.
Of course, remember adopting a puppy is making a years-long commitment to a living animal.  They’re not just a toy for the holiday. If you’re not sure you’re ready for a dog forever, consider fostering.  It is an incredibly rewarding experience for both you and the pooch!

For more information on how to foster or adopt and to donate  to visit www.fromforgottentoforever.com/.

You can also make a dog’s day merry and bright by volunteering with the Walsenburg Animal Shelter.  Contact Rebecca Mondragon at 719-890-0777 for more info.

Happy Holidays!
