LA VETA- Dawn Blanken, the embattled Trustee who is facing a dragged-out recall, abruptly resigned from the La Veta Town Board on Tuesday.
Town Clerk Nancy Culbreath received a short email from Blanken, stating very briefly that her official materials were there at the office, and that she resigned. Attempts to contact her by the World Journal by phone and email have gone unanswered.
