The Housing Director directly supervises the Loan Fund Officer and Rehab Housing Specialist and engages in rehabilitation and improvement of affordable housing within Las Animas and Huerfano Counties. The Housing Director engages in grant application, grant reporting, long range strategic planning, program evaluation and fiscal management. The position reports to the Executive Director of South Central Council of Governments. Work Schedule and Qualifications: This exempt benefitted position requires 40 hours a week to be completed Monday through Friday. Professional staff may be called upon to work above and beyond the agency hours of operation. Salary Depends on Experience and Education. 1. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, public works, finance, economics, accounting or related field and significant executive or management level experience; or, 2. Possesses a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standard listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities. 3. Travel to State Division of Housing meetings is required a few times per year. 4. Must acquire (agency pays for class and license cost) SAFE ACT Loan Originator License within six months after hire.
