Brown beats Schneider in Democratic Primary

HUERFANO– In the only contested race in Huerfano County, for District 2 County Commissioner seat, Democratic candidate Lonnie Brown defeated Kenny Schneider, 609 votes to 396. Brown will now face Republican challenger Max Vezzani in the general elections in November.
The Huerfano County Commissioner District 1 results show Edward Garcia (R) receiving 342 votes and Nick Vigil (D) receiving 722 votes. Joe Albano will also be in that race as an unaffiliated candidate.

• State House District 62: Edward Vigil (D) 717
Timothy Walters (R) 369
• State Senate District 35: Crestina Martinez (D) 673 over Armando Valdez (D) 231. Republican candidate Larry Crowder received 374 votes.
• U.S. Representative District 3
Scott Tipton (R) 415
Sal Pace (D) 755
Gaylon Kent (Libertarian) 4 votes and Gregory Gilman (Libertarian) 2 votes.
