Aguilar’s new marshall aims to improve the quality of life

by William T. Beverly, Ph.D.
AGUILAR
– Aguilar’s new Town Marshall, James Barr, is working on getting situated, organized and “making the quality of life better in Aguilar.”
Marshall Barr was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Colorado as a child.  He has six years of experience in police work and has previously been assigned to the Florence Police Department as well as the Bent County Sheriff’s Office.
Barr takes office in the footsteps of the recently deceased Marshall John Wiggins (31) of Walsenburg and Trinidad, who passed away in November 2010 during his fifth month in office.  Wiggins died of as-yet-undetermined causes.
