Mayor Sheldon denied service

by Brian Orr

WALSENBURG-  Mayor Edi Sheldon was denied service at the Iron Horse restaurant in Walsenburg last Friday by restaurant staff, as they believed the mayor carried a flesh-eating virus.  “They pulled me aside and mumbled something about a flesh-eating virus, and that they couldn’t seat me,” Sheldon said.

Mayor Sheldon does not have a flesh-eating virus, though she has recovered from a case of MRSA.

Iron Horse owner Glen Castorff states he had a responsibility for the safety of his other customers to consider, and that two environmental specialists agreed with his decision.  “I have had other customers express alarm that she ate here,” he said.  “I just need to see a note from her doctor.”
