Juan Bautista Quintana passed away peacefully on January 18, 2013 at Mount St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he had been living for the past four months.
Juan was born in Pueblo, Colorado on September 4, 1928 to Abraham Soloya and Theresa Quintana. Juan had one sister.
Both his parents and sister are deceased.
He lived in Gardner, Colorado until the year 2000 when he went to live with Bernard and Vera Espinoza until 2007. He was in the Walsenburg Care Center until Lorraine Eberhart took him to live with her for three years.
He was also at the Trinidad Inn Care Center in Trinidad, Colorado.
Juan was a handyman. He was a self learned plumber and electrician. He was so proud when he would fix something.
He will be greatly missed by many friends and care givers.
The Rosary service will be held at 10 am Friday, January 25, 2013 followed by Mass at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gardner. Burial will be at the Gardner Catholic Cemetery. There will be a dinner after the burial at the Gardner Community Center.
