Trinidad man arrested in kidnapping case

TRINIDAD — A local man was arrested by the Trinidad Police Department for his alleged roll in a kidnapping. According to reports, Darrion James “JJ” Cescolini, 25, Trinidad was arrested on Sunday, March 15, 2020 on the 200 block of Baca Street in Trinidad.

Cescolini allegedly kidnapped the victim while the victim was walking home from near Central Park where Cescolini got out of a vehicle with a weapon later described as a knife and forced the victim into the vehicle. The alleged incident took place over property that Cescolini said was his. Cescolini, was charged with second-degree kidnapping and was being held on a $25,000 cash or surety bond.

No other information was released, and the Trinidad Police Department is still investigating this case.
