Boyd Gross found guilty

Boyd Goss of Walsenburg, was sentenced to 48 years for the attempted murder of his wife, Donna Gross. Gross initially claimed his wife attempted suicide on March 25, 2010 when she was shot in the head.
Judge Claude Appel sentenced Gross to the maximum allowable punishment. Boyd was also convicted of First-Degree Assault, with an additional 32 years, as well as a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence, with a one-year prison term. All three sentences must be served concurrently. Boyd’s first trial in Huerfano County resulted in a hung jury and mistrial. He was convicted in Trinidad.
