John Gerrard Hurtado

John Gerrard Hurtado of Walsenburg, Colorado, entered into rest March 28, 2010 in Pueblo Colorado. He was born to parents Helen and Garfield Hurtado, July 30, 1954 in Walsenburg. He was 55 years of age.
Mr. Hurtado is survived by his mother Helen Hurtado of Walsenburg, brother Wayne Hurtado of Walsenburg and sister Andrea Dallaguardia of Trinidad, several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Garfield Hurtado and brother Gary Hurtado.
John was a Seargant Jailer at the Huerfano County Jail. He also worked as a Correctional Officer at the CCA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 2, 2010. The Rosary will be 9 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 9:30 at St. Mary′s Catholic Church in Walsenburg. Johnson-Romero Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
