Raton’s new commissioners sworn in Monday evening

RATON — Lori Chatterly and Ron Chavez received the Oath of Office from Magistrate Judge Warren Walton Monday evening, March 12, in the commission chambers at city hall in Raton.
Chatterly filled the seat vacated by Mayor Sandy Mantz, and joined commissioners Tuesday evening, March 13, for the first commission meeting of her four year term.  Chatterly won her seat on the commission by taking 45% of the vote on election day.
Tuesday’s Raton City Commission meeting was broadcast on AM 1490 KRTN.
