Redskin’s Nace Huff Selected coach of the Year
Huerfano- The All-Conference baseball players have been selected and several area high school players made the cut. Selections out of La Veta included the 1st team Chris Trenckmann (Sr.), Fred Rowe (Sr.), Dalton Mason (Jr.), Trey Price (Jr.) and Jon Brunelli (Soph.). Those receiving an Honorable Mention included Trent Holvick (Sr.) and Clancey Kreutzer (Fr.).
First-year coach, Nace Huff was selected by his peers as the Coach of the Year for his role in leading the Redskins to a 13-3 season.
John Mall Panther Charlie Whitehead, (Soph.) was selected to the 2009 Santa Fe League All-Conference team for his outstanding performance on the field. Teammate Brian Aguirre (Soph.) was given an honorable mention.
