HUERFANO– The 1% sales tax proposal for Huerfano County that would have gone toward modernizing the county′s emergency communications services, and improving the salaries of emergency communications workers went down to defeat Tuesday night. While an impressive 1,684 yes votes were cast, the no votes carried the day at 1,754.
