HUERFANO- Voters in Huerfano County gave Bruce Newman an early Christmas gift this year, voting 2,181 to 1,283 in favor of repealing term limits for the office of Huerfano County Sheriff. The announcement was made at 10:25 pm election night, prompting those present to break out in applause and congratulations for Sheriff Newman. When asked if this would change anything in the immediate future for him, Sheriff Newman replied, "No, it′s just a relief that I can run again in two years."
