Mining Museum needs volunteers

by Carolyn Newman
WALSENBURG —  Would you enjoy recording – audio or video – coal miner stories?  Or maybe interview long-time business owners?  The Walsenburg Mining Museum is looking for volunteers to record stories before they are lost.  The museum also needs guides to show visitors around the museum.  Join us at the next board meeting Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 3 pm in the museum behind the courthouse.  For more information stop in the museum Thursdays or Fridays
10 am to 4pm or Saturdays 11 am to 2pm.  Or call the museum 719-738-1992 or contact Carolyn Newman 719-738-2840 carlynewmn@aol.com.
