WALSENBURG- Antonio C. Vigil, also known as Tino Vigil, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 5 for Sexual Assault on a child by a person in a position of trust. The complaint was filed with investigators with the District Attorney’s office by the child’s mother. According to court papers, the abuse began when the child was six or seven, and continued until she was twelve. It was stated that the abuse occurred several times a week, with each time Vigil telling the victim “not to tell her mom or dad.” Since the investigators have talked with the family, Vigil admitted to them he has a problem and is seeking counseling. He has been released on $45,000 bail, and will appear in court on Oct. 1.
