La Veta- Both the boys and girls La Veta Redskins teams are ranked in the latest Rocky Mountain News High School Prep rankings for Class 1A basketball. The boys remained at the number four spot while the Ladyskins dropped two slots to number ten, after losing a heartbreaker last week. There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to the selection as the 3-1 Lady Skins dropped two slots while the previously unranked 4-3 team from Springfield leapt ahead of our Ladies. According to the latest poll, every team in the 1A girls ranking changed position while the boys rankings remained virtually unchanged.
The Redskins are off until after the holidays and the final rankings of this year will be released next week.
