State Troopers report

What to do if you are stopped by a law enforcement officer.  First, pull well off of the traveled portion of the road.  If practicable, shut off your engine.  Then prepare your required documents.  You’ll need your driver’s license, which should be valid and have your current address.  You’ll also need your vehicle’s current registration and a copy of a valid insurance card.  Try to stay calm and relaxed.  Please cooperate with the officer and listen attentively to their reason(s) for stopping you.  It may save your life one day.

Did you know that you are required to change your address on your driver’s license within 10 days of moving?  You are also required to provide at minimum, liability insurance.  If it is not provided, it is a misdemeanor offense and it will require you appearance in court.

Please drive carefully and always buckle up!
