LA VETA — On March 5, 2018, the Snowy Range 4-H Club held their monthly meeting at the 4-H Barn in La Veta, CO. The meeting was called to order by Jr. President Connor McGraw at 6:42PM. The American Pledge was led by Steven Walters and the 4-H pledge was led by Tony McNett. The treasurers report was given by Jr. Treasurer Kaden Corvo and a motion was made by William Bolin to except the report and it was then 2nd by Layne Brooks.
Those who were present at the meeting were: Sherri Anselmo, President Rachelle Andreatta, Jr. President Connor McGraw, Jr. Treasurer Kaden Corvo, Secretary Mary Goins, Sargent of Arms Ty Brooks, Reporter Kylee Faris, Mary Ames, Shawn DeTray, Sarah Walters, Steven Walters, Cavin McCay, Hunter Lessar, Amailee Trujillo, Taelor Bobian, Aiden Trujillo, Tony McNett, Kylee Guadagnoli, Mattie Bjourm, Caleb Goins, William Bolin, Leshem Bellah, Alorah Duzenack, Kyla Warren, Kayleigh Rarick, Layne Duzenack, Jackson Bjourm, Brianna Ritchie, Ashley Albright, Layne Brooks, Michelle Shrout, Tracy McCay, Jason McGraw, Randi Jackson, Shannon Brooks, Christina Guadagnoli, Kelly Bjourm, Nicole Suddreth, and John Albright.
Under old business we discussed Market Beef weigh-ins, which were held Saturday March 3, 2018 at the 4-H barn in La Veta, and the 4-Hers that took part in this said it went very well.
Under new we discussed the Meat Quality Assurance Training that will be held March 27, 2018, in La Veta at the 4-H barn beginning at 5 pm. Those who need to take this training are new 4-H members enrolled in a livestock project, all 4-H members who are enrolled in a swine project or 4-H members changing age groups.
Also discussed was Operation Easter Bunny, which will be held on Friday March 30, 2018 at 9 am at the Eagles Hall in Walsenburg. We also discussed the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Bake Sale our 4-H club will be hosting Saturday March 31,2018 at the town park in La Veta. The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10 am, weather permitting. Also discussed was the shooting sports meetings which will be held the 2nd Friday of each month at 4 pm and a location was not given at this time. The meeting was adjourned by president Rachelle Andreatta and our next meeting will be April 2, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the 4-H barn in La Veta, CO.
