Ricardo M. Anaya 3-25-1927 ~ 3-12-2015 Ricardo M. Anaya, 87, resident of Colorado Springs, Walsenburg and Denver from 1972 to 2015, has passed away after a long illness. Richard was born March 25, 1927 in Bluntzer, TX and passed away in Denver, CO on March 12, 2015. He was a 26 year veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 in Colorado Springs. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Maria del Refufio Anaya; wife, Lillian A. Rosales Anaya of Colorado Springs; brothers, Sebastian Anaya and Isaac Anaya of Sacramento, CA; sister, Lucia Santillan Cortez of DeSoto, TX; brother, Reynaldo Anaya and nephew Rudolfo Santillan II of Robstown, TX. He is survived by his children, daughter Cynthia A. Anaya of Aurora, CO and his son, retired Lt. Col. Richard E. Anaya (Denise) of San Antonio, TX; grandson Richard E. Anaya II of Austin, TX; brother Miguel Anaya (Juanita) of Corpus Christi, TX; maternal aunt, Paula M. Vda. Ochoa; sixteen nieces and nephews in Alabama, California, and Texas. Services were held in Denver on March 25, 2015.
