LA VETA- Superintendent, Dave Seaney said at Tuesday night’s Re-2 workshop session that he is really excited about the new teachers hired for the 2008-09 school year. The middle school has had a high turnover rate in the last few years but strong teachers have been added in this area and the Board is very confident about them.
CSAP test scores for 2008 showed that 22 of the 28 tests given met or were above the State’s average. Grades 3, 5, and 9 consistently showed an increase in all areas of testing.
A new athletic bus will soon be getting a makeover with a Redskins logo that will surely show the school’s spirit.
The staff picnic will be on Thursday Aug 14 at 6:00 pm in La Veta’s Town Park. School starts on Wednesday, August 20th and the next regular Board meeting will be on Tuesday, August 26th.
