Prairie fire blows up

HUERFANO-  A fast-moving grass fire named Sears Spring flared up northeast of Walsenburg on Tuesday, consuming five acres.  It is close to the area where 80 acres were burned at the Rock Springs Arroyo fire last summer. 

    The Huerfano County Fire Department, with assistance from the La Veta fire department, and a standby from the Gardner fire department, quickly brought the fire under control.
