Ortivez places Fourth at State
Denver Co 2:50 p.m. – Adam Ortivez of La Veta became the schools first freshman to place in the top four at the state wrestling tournament. He lost in the third place match against Mark Edmonds by decisive fashion by a score of 10-2. For Adam, missing out on his chance of a first ever championship was a disappointment, but he said, “I still have three years left.” With the victory, Adam becomes only the second Redskin wrestler to place in the top four at the state level.
