Ervin William ‘Bill’ Stokes Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on November 24, 2011.
Bill was born in New York City on January 9, 1044.
Bill is preceded in death by his father Ervin William Stokes Sr., mother Elizabeth (Ray) Stokes and his stepson, Gary Michael Rapo.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Barbara Stokes, daughter, Maria Nance of CA, stepson Milan (Roxie) Rapo of CO, stepdaughter Sherry Nunes of CA, and sister and brother-in-law Gene and Carol Smith of CA. Bill had 10 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Bill loved working on his computers in his spare time and loved the outdoors.
Boies-Ortega Funeral Home handled the cremation and services were held at St. Mary’s Church, 121 E. Seventh St., Walsenburg at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2011. The funeral services were followed by a reception for family and friends at Mazzone Hall.
