Obituary William F. “Bill” Kramer

William F. “Bill” Kramer 1936 ~ 2015 Bill passed away February 5, 2015 at the age of 78. He spent his early years growing up in Massachusetts and came out to Colorado to attend college at Colorado State University. After college, he was in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant and went on to banking, title insurance, business ownership, and real estate. He stayed in Colorado to raise his three sons and follow his love of the outdoors. He and his wife of 43 years, Carole, were lucky to live in Denver, Vail, Grand Lake, Evergreen and, lastly, Huerfano County. His last 16 years were spent at his Majors Ranch property in Huerfano County. Bill enjoyed fishing most of all, and spent many years on his boat in San Carlos, Mexico, catching the “big ones.” He was a history buff and probably read half the books in the La Veta Library. Following sports and his college C.S.U. Rams football team gave him much pleasure when he was unable to enjoy the outdoors he loved. Survivors include his wife, Carole, of La Veta; sons Scott Kramer, Steve Kramer (Gretchen), and Jeff Kramer (Beth) all of the Denver area; grandchildren Alexis , Gage, and Logan Kramer; Patrick and Shaun Kramer; and Graham Kramer; numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. They will all remember the “Good Times” spent with Bill. The family wants to thank all of the wonderful people at Mountain Creek Home Health, Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care, and Hospice House who helped him and the family through his C.O.P.D. illness and his final days. Bill was cremated as he requested, and a memorial service will be held to celebrate his life this summer.
