Susan (“Susie”) Dorothy Cotcher, born May 1, 1949, passed away March 4, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Cynthia Cotcher and is survived by her brother John Cotcher and his wife Deborah with sons William and George, her sister Ann Cotcher, QC, all resident in England, and her daughter Rahil Briggs, of New York City. She spent her childhood years first in La Jolla, CA, and then the family moved to London when she was 12. She attended the University of Chicago and was a lifelong student, always eager to learn. She was a beloved member of the Huerfano community for over four decades. While living in Gardner, she built her own home and a thriving business and was known by all as a generous spirit, excellent cook, and often first in line to lend a helping hand, a kind ear, or a game of Scrabble. Services were held Sunday, March 6, at her home.
