Susan Kay Olson age 60, resided in Walsenburg, Co. bravely and peacefully lost her battle with cancer on Jan. 2, 2013 with her children by her side.
Susan is survived by her three children; Rick Kadrie, Jason Kadrie, Jessica (Craig) Andreatta and her six beautiful grandchildren; Shaylee, Kristi, Cole, Hannah, Gus, and Kade. Her mother Betty Olson, sisters; Linda (Dick) Brown, Vickie (Jerry) Gleason, Debbie (Mike) Crum, and brother Glenn (Beth) Olson, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and father, Vernon C. Olson.
Susan was a wonderful, caring mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, and just being at the lake floating around on her rubber raft! Susan had a beautiful energetic smile that was always contagious to others around her. She was a women of very strong faith who held on with such integrity even in the face of this terrible illness saying Jehovah is my refuge I shall not be afraid!
Susan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 10 am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4151 Glen Eagle Drive, Colorado City, CO.
Family and friends are welcome to share in a celebration of Susan’s life at 2 pm at the gym located behind the Spanish Peaks Baptist Church, 311 South Main St. in La Veta, Colorado.
