Susan E. (Boyer) Martinez 12-23-1944 ~ 9-28-2014 Susan E. (Boyer) Martinez, 69, of Walsenburg, went to be with our Lord on September 28, 2014. Born on December 23, 1944, Susan is survived by her husband of 47 years, Chuck Martinez, Sr. and her sons, Rod Martinez and his partner David Whiteker, Chuck Martinez, Jr. and his fiancee, Carmen Collins, and Brian Martinez and his wife Michelle (Vigil); as well as her granddaughters, Samantha, Scottlyn, and Faith Martinez, and Courtney and Erica Brasby. She is also survived by her siblings, Bob Boyer, Elizabeth (Art) Vigil, Ruth Vigil, Mary Inez Chavez, and Mary Ann Boyer Pedraza; mother-in-law Cora Quintana, and sisters-in-law Sylvia Martinez, Evelyn Martinez (Robert Maldonado), Margaret McGrath, Rose Quintana, and Genevieve Boyer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Zella Boyer; siblings, Stella Cates, William (Bill) Boyer, Mary Lou Mestas, and Jim Boyer; father-in-law Henry Quintana; and brother-in-law Lawrence (Billy) Quintana. Sue will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. By her request, there was cremation and there will be no services.
