Obituary- Rose Steffani

Rose Steffani 1-9-1918 ~ 3-8-2014 Rose Steffani, 96, passed away March 8th, 2014. Born in Walsenburg CO, Rose was the second child of John and Nellie Dunich. She was a very devoted wife and mother and a loving friend to all who knew her. Rose was the true meaning of love, caring and giving. Rose was an excellent cook, making full meals and special cakes almost daily, well into her 95 years. You never left her home hungry (coffee and cookies anyone?). Rose’s favorite past time was working in her yard and growing flowers. She always led a happy life for her children who were the center of her life. Rose was the most caring and giving mother and grandmother, always doing without so others were fulfilled. She never forgot a birthday or holiday and her Christmas pastries were unforgettable. She waited every day for someone to come and visit and someone always

did! Rose was preceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Steffani; first born daughter Toni; brothers George, Tom, and Henry; sisters Millie, Eva, and Helen; granddaughter Sandy; grandson, Danny, and great-grandson, Cody. She is survived by children Bobby (Louise), Charles, Barbara (Frank Skribina), Phyllis Cordova (Louie Vigil), and Anthony (Jenny); eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
