Obituary- Phyllis May Walker “Dove”

Phyllis May Walker “Dove” 4-24-1935 ~ 2-13-2015 Phyllis May Walker, 79, returned to the Creator, February 13, 2015. She is survived by her daughter Patti Kiehne; three grandchildren, Darren Kiehne, Carl Kiehne, and Quinton Kiehne; great-grandson Aden Kiehne; and son-in-law Paul Kiehne, and dear friend, Dee Woodson. Phyllis was born in Bloomington, Wisconsin on April 24, 1935. She was the eldest of 15 siblings. Phyllis loved all children, and they loved her, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the true loves of her life. Phyllis enjoyed road trips, berry picking, rock hunting, cooking, and baking for others, time with family and friends, visiting, playing Skipbo, and putting puzzles together. One of her greatest joys was attending Native American ceremonies such as powwows, sundances, and drummings. There, she could meet and connect with like-minded people. Phyllis was Lakota and Crow. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at a later date. The Time is Now If you are ever going to love me, love me now, while I can know the sweet and tender feelings which from true affection

flow. Love me now while I am living. Do not wait until I’m gone and then have it chiseled in marble, sweet words in ice-cold stone. If you have tender thoughts of me, please tell me now. If you wait until I am sleeping, never to awaken, there will be death between us, and I won’t hear you then. So, if you love me, even a little bit, let me know it while I am living so I can treasure it. Author unknown
