Obituary Michael Patrick “Mike” Riley

Michael Patrick “Mike” Riley, loving husband of Sharon Riley and stepfather of Mark and Todd, passed away on April 4, 2015. Born on August 23, 1949, Mike grew up in Cincinatti, OH and graduated from Roger Bacon Catholic High School. He served honorably in the United States Army and went on to live in Broomfield, CO and work at the Rocky Flats Plant for 30 years, until his retirement. Mike was a founder and active organizer for 25 years of a golf tournament that supported The Denver Rescue Mission. He and his wife, Sharon, purchased land in the River Ranch area of Huerfano County and have lived there for the past 5 1/2 years. Mike is survived by his wife, Sharon, his two stepsons, Mark and Todd; his father, Norbert Riley; his sister, Anne (Michael) Frick; and by brothers Dan (Cheri) Riley, James (Sue) Riley, Jack (Debbie) Riley, and Jeff (Cindy) Riley. Mike was a loving

husband, a great father, and a good brother. He was much loved and will be missed dearly. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, April 10 at 9:30 am, followed by Mass at 10 am, both at Christ the King Catholic Church in La Veta, CO. A reception will follow at La Plaza Inn in Walsenburg. Boies-Ortega is in charge of arrangements.
