Marjorie Pauline Santi 7-15-1928 ~ 1-31-2015 M. Pauline Santi was born to Paul Krier and Lucille Schafer Krier in Walsenburg, CO and passed away January 31, 2015. Pauline “Momma Punkie” was a native of Huerfano County and attended Huerfano County High School and the University of Colorado in Boulder. She was married to O. Don Santi for 63 years before he passed away February 14, 2012. Together they had seven children: Rick (Cheryl) Santi, Ron (Kathy) Santi, Gary (Michelle) Santi, Cherie Santi, Sharon (Ron) Zagar, Susan (Mark) Mollner, and Kip (Chris) Santi; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. While raising her seven children, Pauline was a substitute teacher for Washington Elementary School. Her hobbies included singing, dancing, golf, fly fishing, hiking, bridge, working in her garden and, mostly, spending time playing with hergrandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pauline was known for her beautiful voice, singing at church and at numerous weddings, celebrations, and fundraisers around the

county. She was very engaged with each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, participating and teaching them many physical activities like skiing, ice and roller skating, and numerous outdoor games, or just simply playing music or doing simple art projects together. Over the years, Pauline would haul all her seven children to watch and cheer her husband at his many basketball and baseball games around southern Colorado. Pauline was very involved in the community as a member of the Territorial Daughters of Colorado, a proud member of the Huerfano County Historical Society, a former member of P.E.O. International Organization, volunteered at the Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center, and belonged to a bridge club that was formed in 1950. Pauline is survived by two sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends, and will be truly missed by all. Service will be held at 10 am on Friday, February 6, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Walsenburg, CO. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Pauline’s name to Sister Carol’s Outreach Program.
