Margaret Galvan 3-23-1927 ~ 8-5-2014 Margaret Galvan, born March 23, 1927, departed this world August 5, 2014 in Pueblo, CO, the exact same day her beloved ”Chemo” departed 34 years ago. She is survived by her children Chris Galvan, Jr., Christine Galvan Lopez (Sarge), Tom Galvan (Sherry), and James Galvan (Maryann); sisters Ersie Garbiso and Jeanette Phyllis; brothers-in-law Bill Galvan and Roy Galvan; sisters-in-law Sally Galvan and Lillian Guitierrez; and best friend in the world, Theresa Martinez. She is also survived by grandchildren James Galvan, Phillip Rutkowski, Chris Rutkowski, Courtney Galvan, Brianna Lopez, Aaron Galvan, Vernon Tilson, Denver Dorrall, Reno Dorrall, Tanya Dorrall; 12 great-grandchildren; four great, great-grandchildren, and numerous neices and nephews. Margaret’s passion was cooking, as she worked for the Division of Youth Services Lathrop Park Boys’ Camp and was head cook for the Headstart program. Her home was always
open to anyone needing a great meal or a place to stay. She loved gambling, going to Las Vegas, and dancing, but most of all, her family and friends. There will be a celebration of her life this Thursday, August 14th starting at 10:30 am at St. Mary Church in Walsenburg.
