Lifelong Walsenburg resident Ken Krier passed away in Colorado Springs July 5, 2011.
Ken was born on Jan. 9, 1938 in Walsenburg to Edward and Magdalen Krier. He attended school in Walsenburg, and graduated from St. Mary High School in 1955.
He married his high school sweetheart, Roberta Micheli, on Nov 18, 1961.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Roberta; his children, Renea (Ron) McGee of Phoenix, AZ, Shawn (Lisa) Krier of Highlands Ranch, CO, Kallie (Scott) Pivonka of Woodland Park, CO, Shane (Kristie) Krier of Castle Rock, CO, and Nicole Krier of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Connor and Collin McGee of Phoenix, AZ, Emma and Brady Krier of Highlands Ranch, CO, Autumn, Jacob and Paige Pivonka of Woodland Park, CO, Karsen and Noah Krier of Castle Rock, CO.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday July 8 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with a reception at Mazzone Hall after the service. Gordon Kelley will conduct the service and the community is invited to share their stories and memories of Ken.
