Sgt. Joshua A. Born, 25, of Niceville, Florida died Thursday, February 23, 2012, while serving our country in Afghanistan.
He was born December 4, 1986 at Elgin Air Force Base, Florida. He was united in marriage to Megan Myrick on June 6, 2010.
Josh was a member of the 549th Military Police Company stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Megan of Olive Branch, Missouri; mother, Beth Croft of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; father, Craig Born of Niceville, Florida; maternal grandmother, Nancy (Mike) Lave of Walsenburg; maternal grandfather, Henry Stelzer of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; paternal grandmother, Meta Born of Winchester, Kentucky as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relative and many friends.
The funeral was held in Cape Girardeau, Illinois with interment at the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois with full military honors.
